Dementia Advisor
A Dementia Advisor is now working at the practice for one
day per week. The service is for patients who have
Memory Problems or a diagnosis of Dementia.
The Advisor will provide a signposting service which will
raise awareness of help and support available.
Patients or their Carers/Friends can refer to the service
by contacting Catherine McCann on 07872 503 629 or telephone
the surgery on 0117 968 1182.

Dr Esther Goddard has given birth to a baby boy Oscar, a
brother for Josh.

We have extended our opening hours and we now

In order to continue to provide excellent,
effective and caring health services to our patients we would
like to extend our premises. The proposed extension will
include:
1. An onsite Pharmacy
2. Two additional Consulting Rooms
3. Increased administration space
4. Some additional parking

Health Visiting Team
Unfortunately there will not be an Health Visitor on duty at
the practice on Wednesday afternoons from 5th March 2008.
You may visit the Health Visiting Team at any of the following
venues:
Avonmouth Medical Centre 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month from
2pm to 3.30pm.
Shirehampton Health Centre Tuesdays 1.30pm to 3pm
Sea Mills Children’s Centre Fridays 10am to 11.30am
Alternatively you may telephone them on 0117 916 2221.

Chlamydia Screening for 15 – 24 year olds
Sea Mills Surgery has become a collection and distribution
point for the Chlamydia Screening Programme and packs are
available from Reception.
This is an anonymous service run by the Primary Care Trust, all
results and contact tracing are dealt with by the screening
service and NOT the practice. Nothing will be entered into your
clinical record.
If you are aged between 15 – 24 years old please contact
Reception for a pack.
